08_26_06 Section 17 The Birds:
Besides sharp-tailed grouse and prairie chickens you’ll find thousands of wild pheasants, born and raised on the South Dakota prairie. These are not pen-raised birds, so common on many of today’s hunting properties. To ambush these cagey pheasants, it takes strategy, skill and sometimes, fortitude. However, at the end of the day, when you return to our lodge with a limit of these wily roosters, you’ll also have a load of satisfying, unforgettable memories to share.

Your Hunt:
A group of 5-6 hunters will generally hunt for three days without covering the same ground twice. With over 3 square miles of contiguous ground to hunt, you’ll be able to take full advantage of the terrain in your daily strategies and eliminate the frustration of the birds flushing onto neighboring properties. Unlike public hunting or “Walk-in” areas, access to our Ranch is limited to three days per week. In this way, birds from surrounding, pressured areas are further attracted to the property.
